Sanctuary of Hercules An area in the town was consecrated to the statue of Hercules and no women except Thracian women, both the slaves and the free, were allowed within the Sanctuary of Hercules. In the museum, take a close look to the coins found in the ruins of Erythrae, look especially at the Sanctuary and the description of the statue. |
