    Siphnian Treasury North Side
    Reconstruction by Tournaire
The Siphnian Treasury is the most important of the Delphi treasuries.
Siphnos had struck it rich in her gold and silver mines and the treasury was a tithe from her new wealth, built before the island was sacked by the Samians in 525 and the mines flooded; but little before, we may judge, and there are signs haste and incompletion.
