Restored group of Athena Aphaia West Pediment
Both pediments house fights, with a central Athena, probably as patroness of the Greeks at Troy where the action seems to be set.
The earlier pediment, west pediment, in the latest reconstruction proposed, presents duels beside Athena and symmetrical groups with the action moving to the corners.
    About 500-490 BCE, Height 1.68 m
    Munich, Glyptothek 74
