    The struggle for the tripod 
    The East pediment of the Treasury of the Siphnians illustrates the myth of the abduction of the delphic tripod (the key to the Pythia's powers) by Hercules . Athena,  to the center, intervenes between Hercules, on the right, and Apollo, on the left, that pull on the tripod each to their side. Artemis, behind Apollo, keeps her brother by the arms.
