Athena Chalcioicus
The Spartan sculptor Gitiadas made a bronze Athena for her Temple
at Troy (Athena Chalcioicus - 'of the brazen Temple').
Her dress is also apparently covered with bronze plates carrying
panels with myth scenes.
Pausanias describes the figure and we may get an idea of it from
coins.
Bronze coin of the Emperor Gallienus (260-268 CE) showing the Athena
of Gitiadas.
Original of about 570-530 BCE
