This statue of Athena is a copy of an original of about 440 BCE.
To be restored with spear in right hand, shield (?) on left harm.
The head made separately and does not certainly belong.
She wears a wolf-head cap, the 'cap of Hades', which suggests to
some the Athena Itonia of Agorakritos set beside Hades (Strabo; or Zeus
- Paus.) at Koroneia.
Dress and features are Parthonian (note the himation selvage).
440 BCE, Height 1.96 m
Rome, Villa Albani 1012
