Judgment of Paris
Ivory relief, comb from Sparta (c. 600 BCE).
A bearded Paris sits on a throne as the three Goddesses approach
him.
The first, with a bird on her arm, could be Hera with her cuckoo,
the second is Athena who may be wearing a helmet,
and the third, followed by a bird, could be Aphrodite with her
goose.
