Hermes leads the three contending Goddesses into the presence of Paris who is seated on the left guarding his father's flocks and playing the lyre.
Behind the messenger of the Gods in his winged sandals comes Athena, armed with her helmet and spear, followed by Hera, with her staff, and Aphrodite, who is accompanied by Erotes and carries a dove.
